	Nelson Ferreira is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ferreira Construction Company, Inc., located in Branchburg, New Jersey. Very early in his career, Nelson realized what he wanted to accomplish in life – to become a successful construction contractor. He also realized that it would take a lot of perseverance, hard work and dedication. Today, Ferreira Construction Company, Inc., “a company on the move”, is a multi-million dollar, multi-faceted construction company with bonding capacity in excess of $150 million, and over 300 pieces of construction vehicles and equipment. Ferreira Construction Company has approximately 150 full-time employees, both union and salaried staff. Nelson’s insight into the future and his drive to found a diversified, multi-disciplined company that is able to respond to the ever-changing needs of the construction industry in New Jersey. He has surrounded himself with highly qualified, motivated individuals. In-house certification programs and support of the multi-trade apprenticeship programs contribute toward improving the quality of the construction industry. Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. is moving into the 21st century as a Heavy Highway and Bridge Contractor; an Environmental Management, Safety and Engineering Specialist; and a Construction Management-General Construction Company with expertise in school construction, renovation, and design-build projects. With the acquisition of Oxford Environmental, Inc. and its Construction Management Division, the Ferreira Group of Companies is paving the way toward achieving Nelson’s dream. Nelson’s vision isn’t quite complete as yet. He hopes the future will see a third generation of Ferreiras “structuring the present” while . . . “shaping the future”.
